NESBIT, William L., a Representative from Northumberland County; born in Chillisquaque Township, Northumberland County, Pa., March 7, 1842; graduated, Bucknell University, 1860; private, 3rd Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862); sergeant, 28th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1865); farmer; manufacturer; general contractor; school director; member, Pennsylvania State Board of Agriculture (1896); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1897 and 1907 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1898, 1908); died, February 27, 1926 in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
