Boyd Coal Company (6 years); secretary and treasurer, Thomas Glass Company (3 years); elected, council, Mount Pleasant, (1886-1890); engaged, insurance business; elected, school director, Mount Pleasant (1902); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1902 and 1904; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1906); died, November 11, 1910 in Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Clair Cemetery, Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
