MEALS, Dr. Ezra S., a Representative from Dauphin County; born in Bendersville, Adams County, Pa., July 28, 1851; attended, Normal School at Gettysburg; attended, Tyson Academy; attended, University of Michigan; M.D., Cincinnati College of Physicians and Surgeons, 1874; physician; prison physician; elected, school board, Harrisburg (1892-1899); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1899 and 1907 terms; resigned from the House, March 23, 1908; elected, mayor, Harrisburg (1908-1912, 1916-1917); died, April 18, 1917 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Harrisburg Cemetery, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
