McLAUGHLIN, Joseph, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, June 9, 1867 in Burt, County Donegal, Ireland; mechanic, Baldwin Locomotive Works; member, 15th Ward Republican Committee; elected as a Republican to the United States Congress (1917-1919, 1921-1923); unsuccessful candidate for reelection to Congress (1918); director of supplies, Philadelphia (1924-1925); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1925 term; died while in office, November 21, 1926 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
