WAMBACH, Peter C., Jr., a Representative from Dauphin County; born in, Harrisburg, Pa., May 12, 1946; graduated, Bishop McDevitt High School, 1964; A.A., Harrisburg Area Community College, 1966; B.S., social science, The Pennsylvania State University, 1970; staff liaison to United States Senator Joseph Clark (1967); employed, Greater Harrisburg Board of Realtors (1973-1974); legislative liaison, Pennsylvania Department of General Services (1975-1979); regional director, United States Bureau of Census (1979-1980); member, Dauphin County Young Democrats; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1981 term and served 5 more consecutive terms; appointed, chair, Select Committee on the Operational Aspects of the Emaus Orphan House (1986); appointed, Pennsylvania Public Television Network Commission (1987-1992); appointed, Select Committee to Study the Feasibility of a Harrisburg University (1990); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1992); senior vice president, Vartan Enterprises, Inc. (1992-1993); executive director, Bipartisan Management Committee, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1994-2006); member, board of trustees, Harrisburg Area Community College (2009-present).
