McDOWELL, Rev. Thomas R., a Representative from Chester County; born in New London, Chester County, Pa., October 22, 1855; attended, West Nottingham Academy; A.B., Delaware College, 1881; graduated, Princeton Theological Seminary, 1884; minister, Lower Brandywine Presbyterian Church; minister, Upper Octoraro Presbyterian Church; secretary, Sadbury Township School Board; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1909 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1911 term; died, April 19, 1928 in Avondale, Chester County, Pennsylvania; interred, New London Presbyterian Church Cemetery, New London, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
