McCALLISTER, William Colvin, a Representative from Washington County; born, April 29, 1861 in Tippecanoe, Fayette County, Pa.; graduated, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy; established drug business (1885); associate, E.G. Acheson; organizer and operator, The Carborundum Company (1891-1893); organizer and operator, Monongahela Electric Light Company; incorporator and director, First National Bank, Monongahela (1901); organizer and president, Courtney Fire Brick Company (1902); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1926, 1928 and 1930; unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the House (1932); died, December 13, 1954 in Monongahela, Washington County, Pennsylvania; interred, Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
