McALEER, Eugene J., a Representative from Philadelphia County, born, June 12, 1864 in Tariffville, Hartford County, Ct.; locksmith; tin ware and metals manufacturer; elected, city council, Philadelphia (1906-1908); president, Hunting Park Building and Loan Association; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Keystone/Washington candidate in 1910 and 1912; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1914); unsuccessful campaign, clerk of Quarter Sessions Court, Philadelphia (1911); president, E.J. McAleer & Co., home furnishings manufacturer; unsuccessful campaign, controller, Philadelphia (1915); died, April 10, 1936 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
