MAUST, Fillmore, a Representative from Cumberland County; born in Shepherdstown, Cumberland County, Pa., November 22, 1855; graduated, Cumberland Valley State Normal School (now Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania), 1874; teacher; attorney-at-law; elected, District Attorney, Cumberland County (1 term); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1896 and reelected in 1904; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1898, 1906); gubernatorial appointee, judge, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Cumberland County (1920); died, January 19, 1925 in Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
