MARCH, Franklin, a Representative from Chester County; born in Lawrenceville, Chester County, Pa., July 14, 1837; attended, Ursinus College; attended, Pughton Academy; graduated, Lancaster County Normal School (now Millersville University of Pennsylvania), 1857; attended, National Law School, New York; served, Union Army (Civil War); teacher; employed, Schuylkill Navigation Company; lawyer; elected, burgess, Norristown (1862); director, Spring City National Bank; president, March-Brownback Stove Company; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1903 and 1905 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1907 term; died, April 14, 1908; interred, Oak Grove Cemetery, Parker Ford, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
