MANNION, John F., a Representative from Lackawanna County; born in Carbondale, Lackawanna County, Pa., April 28, 1867; coal miner; hotel proprietor (12 years); elected, jury commissioner, Lackawanna County (1894-1897); elected, select council, Carbondale (1898-1906); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1911 and 1913 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House in the 1914 General election; died, August 1, 1916 in Carbondale, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Rose of Lima Cemetery, Carbondale, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
