MANNING, Edgar S., a Representative from Cumberland County; born in Oakville, Cumberland County, Pa., October 8, 1865; attended, Cumberland Valley State Normal School (now Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania); mercantilist, grain, coal, and flour, H. Manning & Son; owner and operator, grain elevator; elected as a Democrat in a Special Election to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1899 term, Sworn-In on February, 24, 1899; reelected to the House for the 1901 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1903 term; died, December 17, 1945 in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Big Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Newville, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
