MAGEE, Dr. George Whitten, a Representative from Venango County; born in Plain Grove, Lawrence County, Pa., July 27, 1864; graduated, Grove City College, 1886; M.D., Western Pennsylvania Medical College (now University of Pittsburgh), 1889; school teacher (5 years); physician; elected, school board, Oil City (14 years; president, 3 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for 1903 and 1905 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1907 term; died, July 3, 1914 in Oil City, Venango County, Pennsylvania; interred, South Plain Grove Cemetery, Plain Grove, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
