LONGWELL, Robert Hemphill, a Representative from Jefferson County; born in Polk Township, Jefferson County, Pa., April 26, 1871; attended, Northwestern Collegiate Institute; graduated, Northern University of Ohio, 1896; school teacher; principal and superintendent, Brookville High School; engaged in the life insurance business; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1906 and 1908; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1910); supervisor and district manager, Ohio Life Insurance Company, Toldeo, Oh.; died, January 26, 1930 in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio; interred, Beechwoods Cemetery, Falls Creek, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania.
