TRELLO, Fred Anthony, Sr., a Representative from Allegheny County; born in Coraopolis, Allegheny County, Pa. November 14, 1929; graduated, Coraopolis High School, 1949; attended, Air Force Electronics School, 1951; attended, Robert Morris (University) College, 1957; private, United States Air Force (Korean War); elected, council, Coraopolis (9 years); member and chair, Coraopolis Public Safety Commission (6 years); chair, Coraopolis Housing and Redevelopment Commission (3 years); member, Allegheny County Democratic Committee (20 years; chair, 12 years); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1974; served 13 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Speaker pro tempore (1993); appointed, chair, Select Committee to Investigate the Department of Aging's Directive #83-12 (1983-1984); appointed, Select Committee to Investigate the Bidding Requirements for Certain PennDOT Contracts (1985); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2002); died, March 28, 2006 in Coraopolis, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Joseph Cemetery, Moon, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
