LEARD, Mead Kelly, a Representative from Indiana County; born, April 8, 1856 in Young Township, Indiana County, Pa.; attended the public schools of Indiana County; farmer; member, board of school directors, Blacklick Township; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1898 and reelected in 1900; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1902); founder, Leard and Hoffman, lumber company; died, June 28, 1931 in Tarentum, Indiana County, Pennsylvania; interred, Prospect Cemetery, Brackenridge, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
