LAUER, Alexander Durbin, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, November 10, 1865 in Jersey City, Hudson County, NJ; graduated, Philadelphia Central High School, 1883; attended, the College of New Jersey (Princeton University); attended, Williams College; B.I., University of Pennsylvania Law School, 1888; lawyer; co-organized, Anti-Martin Party (1897); assistant city solicitor, Philadelphia (1902-1911); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1914; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1916); auditor; co-editor, Digest of Statutes; died, July 29, 1933 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Cheltenham Methodist Cemetery, Cheltenham, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania
