LANIUS, Henry Edward, a Representative from York County; born in York County, Pa., February 13, 1881; executive secretary, Pennsylvania Association for the Blind (1927); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1913 term; reelected to serve 3 more consecutive terms in the House; elected, Floor Leader (1919-1920); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1920); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1923-1943); appointed, Local Government Commission (1941-1942); died while in office of Senate, May 30, 1943 in Spring Grove, York County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Peter’s Church Cemetery, Spring Grove, York County, Pennsylvania.
