LANDIS, Josiah M., a Representative from Montgomery County; born in Lower Salford Township, Montgomery County, Pa., March 20, 1869; attended, Millersville State Normal School (now Millersville University of Pennsylvania); teacher (16 terms); farmer; engaged in general store business (6 years); member, Montgomery County Republican Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1902, 1904, 1906 and 1914; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1908, 1916); postmaster, United States Postal Service, Elroy (1908); postmaster, United States Postal Service, Rumilla (1912-1914); died, May 27, 1952 in Souderton, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Franconia Mennonite Church, Telford, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
