KLEPPER, William Howard, a Representative from Clinton County; born in Logan Township, Clinton County, Pa., July 28, 1860; attended public schools; graduated, Central State Normal School (now Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania), 1892; school teacher (10 years); school principal, Lock Haven School District (1892-1906); appointed, deputy sheriff, Clinton County (1906-1909); director, Lock Haven School District (1906-1909); elected, sheriff, Clinton County (1908-1911); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives  in 1912; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1914); income tax officer, Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, Clinton County; died, March 17, 1937 in Monroe, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana; interred, Fairview Cemetery, Millheim, Centre County, Pennsylvania.
