KATZ, Elezer, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa. in 1875; merchant; burgess, Jeannette (3 terms); member, fire department, Jeannette (22 years); chief, volunteer fire department (15 years); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1926 and 1928; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1930); died, November 2, 1942 in Jeannette, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Temple Emanuel Cemetery, Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
