KAIN, Dr. John Bennett, a Representative from York County; born in West Manchester Township, York County, Pa., April 29, 1850; attended, York Academy; attended, York Normal School (now York College); M.D., Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College), 1871; teacher (3 years); physician; proprietor, drug store; elected, council, York; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1901 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1902); died, May 3, 1926 in York, York County, Pennsylvania; interred, Prospect Hill Cemetery, York, York County, Pennsylvania.
