KAHLE, Dr. Ivan Dana, a Representative from Clarion County; born in Pine City, Clarion County, Pa., August 8, 1875; attended, Clarion State Normal School (now Pennsylvania Western University, Clarion); graduated, The College of Physicians and Surgeons in Baltimore (now University of Maryland School of Medicine), 1905; teacher; surgeon, Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (21 years); elected, council, Knox Borough; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1927, 1929 and 1931 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1933 term; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1935-1938); elected, delegate, Democratic National Convention (1939); general physician; died, January 1, 1959 in Knox, Clarion County, Pennsylvania; interred, Knox Union Cemetery, Knox, Clarion County, Pennsylvania.
