JONES, Edward E., a Representative from Susquehanna County; born, November 25, 1867 in Harford, Susquehanna County, Pa.; attended, Williston Seminary, Ma.; merchant (14 years); employed, Harford Dairy Company; elected, treasurer, school director and auditor, Harford; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1906; reelected to serve 4 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1916); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1917-June 1, 1923); presidential appointee, Federal Farm Loan Board (1923-1927); presidential appointee, register, United States Treasury Department (1929-1933); died, July 16, 1951 in Peach Bottom, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Harford Cemetery, Harford, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.
