JONES, David J., a Representative from Lawrence County; born, January 1, 1879 in Swansea, South Wales; graduated, Pittsburgh Academy, 1900; clerk, Pittsburgh Post Office; proprietor, Ellwood Stone Company; elected, council, Ellwood City ; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1918); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1921 and 1923 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1924); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1924); died, September 2, 1931 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Locust Grove Cemetery, Ellwood City, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
