IKELER, Fred Taylor, a Representative from Columbia County; born in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pa., August 12, 1870; graduated, Bloomsburg Literary Institute and Normal School (now Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania); graduated, Lafayette College, 1890; lawyer; elected, solicitor, Bloomsburg; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1901 and 1903 terms; elected, Minority Leader (1903-1904); not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1905 term; unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1918); died, August 1, 1919 in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Old Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pennsylvania.
