HUNTER, James N., a Representative from Schuylkill County; born in Reading, Berks County, Pa., March 12, 1865; graduated, Brunner’s Business College, Reading; locomotive engineer, Pennsylvania Railroad; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1906 and 1910; appointed, Pennsylvania Fish Commission (1907-1908); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1908); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1910); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1912); appointed, deputy state factory inspector, Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry (1917-1920); died, September 18, 1920 in Pottsville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; interred, Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
