HOUCK, Thomas R., a Representative from Berks County; born in Colebrookdale Township, Berks County, Pa., November 21, 1870; graduated, Keystone State Normal School (now Kutztown University of Pennsylvania), 1893; teacher (9 years); school principal (4 years); instructor, Perkiomen Seminary; farmer; employed, Houck and Henry farm supply and vehicle company; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1903 and 1905 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1906 General election; elected, controller, Berks County (1925-1928); president, Farmers National Bank and Trust Company, Boyertown (1939-1943); died, October 31, 1943 in Colebrookdale Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
