HORNE, Jordan Ross, a Representative from Cambria County; born in Alum Bank, Bedford County, October 27, 1878; graduated, Slippery Rock State Normal School (now Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania), 1902; attended, the International Correspondence School, Washington, DC; teacher; principal, Woodvale School (2 years); principal, Cypress Avenue School; owner, Sterling Specialty Company; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1917 term and reelected for 3 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1925 term; died, May 19, 1935 in Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania; interred, Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
