HOOVER, Calvin C., a Representative from Clearfield County; born, April 6, 1876 in Loop, Indiana County, Pa.; educated in the public schools; printer, Dubois Express and Courier; diamond drilling businessman; elected, council, Dubois (1905-1907; president, 1907); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1910; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1912); died, February 7, 1927 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Rumbarger Cemetery, DuBois, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.
