HOLLAND, John M., a Representative from Lackawanna County; born, February 28, 1870 in Myrthyr, Wales; coal miner; hotel proprietor; founder, Old Forge Bank; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1908; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1910 General election; elected, tax collector, Old Forge (12 years); real estate investor; died, January 3, 1924 in Old Forge, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Minooka, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
