HOLCOMBE, Vell Burr “V.B.,” a Representative from Sullivan County; born in Leroy, Bradford County, Pa., March 16, 1871; graduated, Elmira School of Commerce; bookkeeper; owner, furniture and undertaking business; elected, council, Dushore Borough; school board member, Dushore; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1921 term and served 5 more consecutive terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1933 term; died, May 27, 1952 in Dushore, Sullivan County, Pennsylvania; interred, St. Basil’s Cemetery, Dushore, Sullivan County, Pennsylvania.
