HOFFMAN, Michael Rhoads, a Representative from Lancaster County; born in Conoy Township, Lancaster County, Pa., January 31, 1857; tobacco farmer and dealer; elected, school director, Maytown (19 terms); president, Union Trust Company; president, The People's Bank of Maytown; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1907 term; reelected to serve 7 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1922 General election; died, October 2, 1951 in Pennsylvania; interred, East Donegal Cemetery, Maytown, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
