HITCHCOCK, Andrew B., a Representative from Tioga County; born, May 15, 1863 in Steuben County, NY; graduated, Mansfield Normal School (now Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania), 1884; farmer; teacher, Tioga public schools (1884-1895); school principal, Knoxville; engaged in the insurance business; elected, justice of the peace (1897); elected, delegate, Republican State Convention (1897, 1899); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1900; reelected to serve 3 more consecutive terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1908); died, June 21, 1930 in Sayre, Bradford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Riverside Cemetery, Knoxville, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
