HILTON, Robert W., a Representative from McKean County; born in Hornell, Steuben County, NY, January 26, 1868; graduated, Alfred University and Rochester Business University; organized the McKean Chemical Company (1892); appointed, superintendent, McKean Chemical Company (1894-1899); organizer and general manager, the Hilton Chemical Company (1899), organizer and president, Smethport Window Glass Company; president, Allegheny Window Glass Company; president, Keystone Window Glass Company; vice-president and treasurer, Ormsby Gas Company; vice-president and treasurer, Smethport Chemical Company; organizer and president, Traintor Chemical Company (1908); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1908 and 1910; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1912); died, May 24, 1946 in Bradford, McKean County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Hill Cemetery, Bradford, McKean County, Pennsylvania.
