HILL, George C., a Representative from Susquehanna County; born December 17, 1843 in Silver Lake township, Susquehanna County, Pa.; musician, Company H, 141st Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); private, Company B, 1st Regiment, New York Mounted Rifles (1864-1865, Civil War); farmer; elected, supervisor and auditor, Silver Lake Township; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1901 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1903 term; died, December 24, 1928 in Bighamton, Broome County, New York; interred, Quaker Lake Cemetery, Brackney, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.
