HIGINBOTHAM, Uriah Frank, a Representative from Fayette County; born, November 30, 1858 in Redstone Township, Fayette County, Pa.; attended, Dunlap’s Creek Academy; attended, Southwestern Normal School (now Pennsylvania Western University, California); farmer; cattle breeder (1884-1888); proprietor, flour mill; elected, council, Bridgeport; proprietor, Bar House (1892-1893); proprietor, furniture store (1893-1897); elected, school director, Bridgeport; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1908; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1910); died, August 27, 1937 in St. Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida; interred, Redstone Cemetery; Brownsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.
