HENRY, James Thompson, a Representative from Indiana County; born, August 18, 1870 in Armstrong Township, Indiana County, Pa.; graduated, Armstrong Township High School, 1897; attended, Indiana Normal School (now Indiana University of Pennsylvania); teacher, Indiana County High School; assistant principal, Apollo High School; proprietor, Dixon & Henry, shoe business; unsuccessful campaign for election to the House (1908); elected to the Pennsylvania  House of Representatives as a Republican in 1910; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1912); appointed, state banking examiner, Pennsylvania Department of Banking (1913-1918); appointed, chief, state bureau of securities, Pennsylvania Department of Banking, Philadelphia (1924); died, July 1, 1951 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
