HEFFRAN, James T., a Representative from Washington County; born, February 19, 1873 in Tredegar, Monmouthshire, Wales; attended public schools; miner (19 years); elected, coroner, Washington County (1908-1919); elected, secretary, Charleroi Chamber of Commerce; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1922; reelected in 1924, 1926, 1928, and 1930; unsuccessful campaigns for reelection to the House (1932, 1934, 1936, 1938, 1940); secretary-treasurer, Charleroi-Monessen Hospital; died, February 25, 1950 in Speers, Washington County, Pennsylvania; interred, Howe Cemetery, Coal Center, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
