HAYES, Timothy D., a Representative from Lackawanna County; born, March 28, 1858 in Ireland; coal miner; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1902 and 1906; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1904, 1908); general organizer, United Mine Workers, District 1 (1908); died, June 22, 1912 in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania; interred, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
