HATRICK, William J., a Representative from Carbon County; born in Mauch Chunk (Jim Thorpe), Carbon County, Pa., March 6, 1887; served, Company B, 8th Pennsylvania Infantry (1916-1917), 28th Division (1917-1918), Air Service (1918-1919), Pennsylvania National Guard; engaged in the electrical and automobile business; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1921 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1923 term; sheriff, Carbon County (elected, 1939-1942; gubernatorial appointee, 1943); died, October 20, 1943 in Mauch Chunk (Jim Thorpe); interred, Mauch Chunk Cemetery, Jim Thorpe, Carbon County, Pennsylvania.
