HARPER, Edwin F.G., a Representative from Lawrence County; born in Zelienople, Butler County, Pa., May 27, 1869; graduated, New Castle High School, 1891; lawyer (1897-1947); elected, board of education, New Castle; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1912); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1914; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1916); died, March 10, 1947 in New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Park Cemetery, New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
