HARMAN, John G., a Representative from Columbia County; born in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pa., March 16, 1873; graduated, Bloomsburg Literary Institute and Normal School (now Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania), 1891; lawyer; elected, District Attorney, Columbia County (1896-1902); member, Democratic State Committee (4 years); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1905 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1907 term; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Treasurer (1907); elected, president judge, 26th judicial district, Columbia and Montour Counties (1918-1925); died, August 12, 1925 in Fountain Springs, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
