HAMILTON, Dr. Weir Mitchell, a Representative from Allegheny County; born in Cassville, Huntingdon County, Pa., March 7, 1882; graduated, University of Michigan, 1903; M.D., University of Pennsylvania, 1907; graduate assistant to the Chief Surgeon, Pittsburgh Coal Company; captain, General Hospital No. 16, (1918-1919, World War I); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1912); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1914; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1916); physician, Pennsylvania Rail Road Company; private practice physician; died, September 28, 1960 in Industry, Beaver County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Grove Cemetery, Industry, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
