HAMILTON, Samuel Richard, a Representative from Clearfield County; born, February 28, 1868 in North Point, Huntingdon County, Pa.; educated in common schools; blacksmith; elected, council, Osceola, Pa. (1898-1901); elected, burgess, Osceola; elected, commissioner, Clearfield County (1902-1908, president); member, Republican State Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1908; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1910); died, July 12, 1947 in Clearfield, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.
