HAGERTY, John K., a Representative from Delaware County; born in Upland, Delaware County, Pa., November 8, 1867; machinist, John Wetherill and Company; journeyman; chief engineer; master mechanic, Eddystone Manufacturing Company; elected, council, city of Chester (1907-1918); superintendent of Public Safety, city of Chester (1913-1918); school tax collector (1918-1920); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1921 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1923 term; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Chester, Pa. (1923-1935); died, November 18, 1945 in the city of Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania; interred, Chester Rural Cemetery, Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
