GYGER, John, a Representative from Chester County; born in Rosemont, Delaware County, Pa., November 1, 1846; attended, Village Green Military Academy; attended, Friends Central School; civil engineer; brick manufacturer; cattle farmer; creamery business proprietor; school director and road supervisor, East Pikeland Township; elected as a Republican Fusion candidate to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1906; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1908); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1913-1916); died, April 29, 1928 in Florida; interred, St. Peters Lutheran Church Cemetery, Chester Springs, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
