GUNDY, John Moore, a Representative from Union County; born in East Buffalo Township, Union County, Pa., May 22, 1875; graduated, Bucknell Academy; B.S., Bucknell University, 1897; farmer; lawyer; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1912); bank clerk; director, Buffalo Valley Farmers’ Mutual Fire Association; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1922; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1924); appointed, trustee, Laurelton State Village (1937-1940); member, Democratic State Committee; director, Lewisburg Trust and Safe Deposit Company (1940-1947); died, September 1, 1958 in Danville, Montour County, Pennsylvania.
