GUERIN, John J., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, June 20, 1863 in Troy, Rensselaer County, NY; sergeant, United States Marine Corps (1883-1888); secretary, 1st Ward Republican Executive Committee (1898-1915); real estate broker (1900-1947); delinquent tax collector, Philadelphia (1901-1915); organized, Southern Savings and Loan Association, New Mifflin Building and Loan Association, Arrow Building and Loan Association, and Louvain Building and Loan Association; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1922, 1924, and 1926; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1928); died, May 23, 1947 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
