GRIEST, Cyrus Arthur, a Representative from Adams County; born in Guernsey, Adams County, Pa., August 25, 1878; graduated, The George School, 1897; graduated, Bryant and Straton Business College, 1898; farmer and fruit grower; elected, school director, 1908; appointed, trustee, Cumberland Valley State Normal School (now Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1919 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1921 term; died, September 15, 1962 in Washington, District of Columbia; interred, Menallen Meeting House Burial Ground, Flora Dale, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
